How Micro Needling Works

The idea behind Micro needling is similar to that of many other non-surgical skin-tightening procedures in that it aims to create a controlled injury underneath the skin's surface, thereby inducing the body to respond by producing more collagen in the treated area. The skin plumps and thickens in response to the stimulus, reducing the appearance of scars, stretch marks, and fine lines.

How Microdermabrasion Works

​

Microdermabrasion is a noninvasive procedure that exfoliates your skin and stimulates collagen. Exfoliation removes the outermost layer of dry, dead skin cells, revealing healthier looking skin underneath. This safe, gentle treatment encourages the production of a new underlying layer of skin cells with higher levels of collagen and elastin. Microdermabrasion  makes the skin look and feel great and helps your skin care products absorb easier and be more effective.

How Derma Planing/Blading Works

​

This treatment, when professionally trained, is extremely safe. It is safely performed by using a #10 scalple (surgical blade). The blade is held against the skin at a 45 degree angle and stroked along the skin I recommend blading be performed every 3 – 4 weeks. Think of it as routine care. Blading the skin actually removes about 2-3 weeks worth of dead skin cells. I would not recommend treating the skin more often than that.  Can blading or derma planing be performed with a chemical peel?  Absolutely. Micro Peel and Micro Peel plus beging with Blading then we add either lactic or glycoic or both to the skin for a fantastic result.

PCA SKIN Peel® Exfoliating Treatments are available in the following three formulas:

 

PCA Peel® with Hydroquinone and Resorcinol: This solution combines the lightening and brightening power of hydroquinone, kojic acid and lactic acid with strengthening and exfoliating agents to leave the skin smooth and clear.

Most appropriate for achieving dramatic improvement in hyperpigmentation, acne, surface texture issues, and for thicker, more resilient skin types.

 

PCA Peel® with Hydroquinone: This solution provides all of the lightening and strengthening power of our hydroquinone and resorcinol formula, but with slightly less surface irritation.

Appropriate for all skin types for help with acne, hyperpigmentation.

 

PCA Peel® Hydroquinone Free: Removing the hydroquinone from this solution provides an effective option for more sensitive skin and those with hydroquinone allergies. This more gentle solution works to help clear acne while improving hyperpigmentation and other signs of sun damage.
